Yesterday, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame revealed the nominees for the 2008 induction ceremony. . . and it's a pretty WEAK SAUCE list.
The big names in the running for the Class of 2008 are: Madonna, The Beastie Boys, John "The Cougar" Mellencamp and Leonard Cohen.
The others on the ballot are: Afrika Bambaataa, Chic, The Ventures, Donna Summer and The Dave Clark Five.
As usual, only FIVE of these acts will get in. They'll be announced in January. The ceremony oes down on March 10th, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.

Hey. . . I know somebody who released his first album before 1982. . . ALICE COOPER!!! WHERE IS ALICE COOPER??? He's been eligible since 1994, and has yet to receive ANY LOVE!!! And this Rock Hall is a SHAM!!!
See who else hasn't made it into the Rock and Roll Hall, but watch out it might just piss you off like it did me!
