A 1965 Fender Stratocaster that JIMI HENDRIX set on fire back in 1967 . . . has been sold, at an auction, for $497,500. That seems like a lot for a charred guitar, but it was projected to go for at least $900,000.
This was NOT the guitar that Jimi infamously burned ON FILM at the Monterey Pop festival in 1967 . . . this one was torched at a concert in London earlier that year.
