HUGE "LOST" AUCTION THIS SUMMER!

Attention "Lost" fans: A massive auction will go down this summer . . . in which hundreds of props, costumes and set pieces from "Lost" will be sold to the highest bidder.

The trailer for J.J. ABRAMS' new movie, "Super 8", has hit the World Wide Web of Time-Wasting. (--It's the trailer that's running before "Iron Man 2".)

It's just a "teaser", so not much is revealed. But it's pretty obvious this movie involves ALIENS.

VOLVO FAIL

Volvo invited reporters to a demo of their new collision warning system. It's supposed to detect something in front of the car and stop it even if you don't hit the brakes. But the demonstration failed, and the Volvo smashed into the back of a truck.

NBC released three skits that didn't air during BETTY WHITE'S episode of "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. The skits were recorded during rehearsal, but they didn't make the live show.

Here's A Scene From A "Star Wars" Remake Made By 472 Different People

A guy had random people on the Internet remake "Star Wars" 15 seconds at a time. He divided the movie into 15-second clips, had people claim up to three clips, and then had them remake the scenes however they wanted.


The result was a mash-up of Legos, lame special effects, and ridiculous costumes. But it follows the script exactly. Here's a four-and-a-half minute excerpt.

A Yankees Pitcher Blamed A Bad Game On Diarrhea

CHAN HO PARK is the South Korean relief pitcher for the Yankees, and he couldn't prevent their loss to the Red Sox in last Sunday's season-opener. But he did a lot better against them three days later.

When a reporter asked him about the bad game, he managed to say four times in one minute that it was because he had diarrhea. And his teammates couldn't stop laughing.

But regardless, the car is such a cool piece of movie memorabilia, and it can be yours for about 45-thousand dollars. The car, which still drives despite "Cameron" crashing it into the woods, is up for auction at a museum in England.

A trailer for the "The Expendables" is online. This is the new SYLVESTER STALLONE movie, which also features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and Steve Austin.

There is something about it that makes me want to see it. I think it looks like a "throw back" movie to some of the military mercenary movies of the late 70's and 80's.

DID AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DO "SCARFACE" AS A PLAY?

There's a video online of elementary school kids doing "Scarface" as a play, and it's pretty messed up.

They say "fudge" instead of the F-word, but they talk about drugs and murder, and re-enact the violence with toy guns.

The little kid playing 'Tony' even has a big pile of popcorn on his desk, just like the mountain of coke AL PACINO had in the movie.

But it's not a real play. It was made in Los Angeles sometime in the last few weeks buy a guy named Marc Klasfeld, a music video director who did videos for Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert.

It's kind of funny, but it seems wrong to having little kids act out violent adult material just to make a viral video. Or am I over-reacting?

A GILLIGANS ISLAND MOVIE IS IN THE WORKS!

Welcome to another edition of MOVIES THAT SHOULD NOT BE MADE.

Yes, it's been a while since we've played this game, but it became necessary the moment Warner Brothers announced that they're making a "Gilligan's Island" movie.

That's right, "Gilligan's Island" . . . the classic sitcom that ran for a mere THREE seasons on CBS from 1964 to 1967 . . . but has NEVER STOPPED airing in repeats since.

Original creator SHERWOOD SCHWARTZ, who's 93 years old and still kicking, is one of the producers .

There's no word yet on casting, but when Schwartz was talking about doing the movie last year, he said he was interested in getting MICHAEL CERA to play Gilligan.

Production is expected to begin next year. There's no word on a release date.

And now, Here are the THREE REASONS WHY A "GILLIGAN'S ISLAND" MOVIE SHOULD NOT BE MADE:

1.) GPS, cell phones, wireless Internet: It's practically IMPOSSIBLE to get lost in 2010. And there are no uncharted tropical islands that don't have smoke monsters and polar bears on them.
2.) In this economy, do you think a farm girl like Mary Ann could afford a THREE-HOUR TOUR???
3.) "The Brady Bunch in the White House". Are we clear???

Sean Lennon says the use of John Lennon's image in a commercial for Citroen automobiles was a way to keep the rock icon "in the public consciousness." Footage of John, talking about being rebellious, not nostalgic, is used in a new spot for French automaker's compact D-S-3 model that's now up on YouTube.

The younger Lennon said on Twitter that his mother, Yoko Ono, "did not do it for money... It's just hard to find new ways to keep dad in the new world. Not many things as effective as T-V."

The reason people started using acronyms like ROFL, IMHO, and TTYL is because it's quicker and easier than typing out the actual words. Put another way, it's because people are LAZY.

"24" COMES TO THE BIG SCREEN!

Variety is reporting that Jack Bauer’s big screen debut is now officially on the clock. Twentieth Century Fox’s film division is scooping up its hit TV series, “24” starring Kiefer Sutherland as the no-nonsense enemy to terrorists everywhere, and gunning to spin it off into a potential feature film franchise.

Screenwriter Bill Ray (”State of Play”) is maneuvering to send Bauer to Europe, and has been endorsed by Sutherland, according to intelligence reports. It could take a long time, however, for “24″ to go into production, since the producers and cast are currently filming the eighth season of the show, and a ninth season is still a possibility. Fox insiders told Variety that a decision on renewing “24″ for another season could be based on ratings out this week.

BANNED SUPER BOWL TV COMMERCIAL

C-B-S has rejected an ad from a gay dating site, ManCrunch.com. T-M-Z reports that the company wanted the spot to run during the Super Bowl, but C-B-S refused, saying it is "not within the network's broadcast standards for Super Bowl Sunday."

I think the commercial is pretty funny....

JOE WALSH FOR CONGRESS?

Joe Walsh is running for Congress in Illinois, but it's not the Eagles guitarist. However, the candidate is using a re-recording of a Walsh song in his campaign, which is not sitting well with the guitarist.

Walsh the candidate has taken "Walk Away," a song the guitarist recorded with his pre-Eagles band, The James Gang, and redubbed it "Lead the Way." This led to the guitarist's lawyer firing off a cease-and-desist letter, which in part says, "You can't use someone else's song for your political campaign promotions unless you get permission from the owner of the copyright of the song. As far as we can tell, you didn't do that. Maybe you got so busy with the campaign that you just forgot. This is not to say you're not allowed to write silly lyrics, you just have to write them to your own music. Now, I know why you used Joe's music -- it's undoubtedly because it's a lot better than any music you or your staff could have written. But that's the point. Since Joe writes better songs than you do, the Copyright Act rewards him by letting him decide who gets to use the songs he writes."

In closing, the lawyer, Peter Paterno writes, "Given that your name is Joe Walsh, I'd think you'd want to be extra careful about using Joe's music in case the public might think that Joe is endorsing your campaign, or God forbid, is you. Or maybe you intended that. But you shouldn't have."

TIGER WOODS CAR CRASH RECREATION

We'll never really know what went on between TIGER WOODS and ELIN NORDEGREN right before Tiger crashed his car last Friday morning. But that didn't stop some Chinese news organization from MAKING IT UP.

THE DRUNK TEST

Monday morning I got "Comfortably Numb" on the radio in honor of the 30th anniversary of Pink Floyd's The Wall....it was also to raise awareness of Drunk Driving this holiday season.

I drank a shot of bourbon every 10 to 15 minutes and felt to drunk to drive at about a .03. It took 5 shots in about 50 minutes to get me legally drunk at a .080 and after 9 shots I blew a .194 on the Breathalyzer. Deputy Joe figures my blood alcohol level probably peeked at about a .210. In other words...I WAS HAMMERED. I woke up Monday afternoon with a terrible hangover...and still feel a little queasy Tuesday morning. OUCH!

Thanks to Douglas County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Martinec for joining us in the CD 105.9 studio on his day off. Deputy Joe gave us some great information on the dangers of drunk driving and impaired driving. Hopefully, I wasn't too obnoxious...I swear he looked like he wanted to taze me more than once!
