As Seen on TV - A tribute to doing it wrong

The objective of all infomercials is to show you, the viewer, that you need this ridiculous product because you've been "doing it all wrong." The best part of these infomercials is when they show people "doing it wrong," like the guy who uses a blanket instead of a Snuggie or the woman spending too much time to get "that salon look" instead of using a Bump-it. Someone compiled all of these "doing it wrong" segments and created a nice tribute.

BEST RAIN DELAY!

Two Baseball Teams Did Competing Skits During A Rain Delay

During a rain delay, two college baseball teams competed by acting out skits, like pretending to be on a roller coaster, moshing at a rock show, making fun of the "Shake Weight" commercial, and having a dance-off.

STAR WARS UNCUT

Star Wars Uncut "The Escape" from Casey Pugh on Vimeo.

Here's A Scene From A "Star Wars" Remake Made By 472 Different People

A guy had random people on the Internet remake "Star Wars" 15 seconds at a time. He divided the movie into 15-second clips, had people claim up to three clips, and then had them remake the scenes however they wanted.

The result was a mash-up of Legos, lame special effects, and ridiculous costumes. But it follows the script exactly. Here's a four-and-a-half minute excerpt.

IN HONOR OF 420!

Today is April 20th, or "4-20," as it's known and celebrated by pot smokers. A few years ago, one hardcore 4-20 observer made his way to Contestants Row on The Price Is Right and bid $420 on every item.
Some facts about 4-20, courtesy of About.com:
It's not the number of a bill in Congress to legalize marijuana.
It's not the number of chemical compounds in marijuana.
It began with a small group of stoners at a high school in California in the '70s.

NOT ONLY IS IT TAX DAY, BUT IT'S NATIONAL HIGH-FIVE DAY!!!

Happy holiday, everybody. We're of course referring to National High Five Day, which falls on the third Thursday of April. It celebrates the congratulatory hand gesture used mostly by men over the past few decades. For a better understanding of the holiday, watch this new music video.

ROGER WATERS "THE WALL"

Roger Waters is seeking your help with his production of The Wall, which he will tour this fall. He writes on the newly launched RogerWaters.com, "'Fallen Loved Ones' is a request, from me, reaching out to ask you to provide a photograph and personal details of a loved one lost in war. Your loved one's pictures and details would be included, along with those of my father Eric [killed in World War Two], in my upcoming show The Wall as an act of remembrance. The ''Fallen Loved One' does not have to have been a soldier. Civilian deaths are equally, if not more, harrowing."

A Yankees Pitcher Blamed A Bad Game On Diarrhea

CHAN HO PARK is the South Korean relief pitcher for the Yankees, and he couldn't prevent their loss to the Red Sox in last Sunday's season-opener. But he did a lot better against them three days later.

When a reporter asked him about the bad game, he managed to say four times in one minute that it was because he had diarrhea. And his teammates couldn't stop laughing.

PRESIDENT OBAMA THREW OUT THE FIRST PITCH AT THE NATIONAL'S GAME WEARING A SOX HAT?

PRESIDENT OBAMA threw out another lousy first pitch at a baseball game yesterday. The first was at last year's All-Star game.

This time it was the Washington Nationals' home-opener, and he got booed for wearing a Chicago White Sox hat at the mound.

THE FARRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF FERRARI 250 GT IS UP FOR AUCTION!

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a classic, and so is the 1961 Ferrari 250 G-T California that played such a huge role in the movie. Well, to be fair here, the car in the movie was actually a replica of the real thing since less than 100 were made. But regardless, the car is such a cool piece of movie memorabilia, and it can be yours for about 45-thousand dollars. The car, which still drives despite "Cameron" crashing it into the woods, is up for auction at a museum in England.

MOVIE TRAILER FOR "THE EXPENDABLES"

A trailer for the "The Expendables" is online. This is the new SYLVESTER STALLONE movie, which also features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and Steve Austin.

There is something about it that makes me want to see it. I think it looks like a "throw back" movie to some of the military mercenary movies of the late 70's and 80's.
